摘要
Nanomaterial-based medical device development over the coming years will rely on several factors. One is their application to medical devices, where laser-based procedures were developed in the 1970s and 1980s for treatment of nearly every human tissue. Another is their price and regulations regarding their distribution. Funding will also play a large role, as there is a need to take a nanomaterial innovation from concept to market. Consumer awareness will also be a challenge as consumers become more well-informed about nanotechnologies, and complex reimbursement and payment issues.
