Twenty-five pumping stations powered by more than 60 individual gas turbine driven compressor sets deliver the high-pressure gas to 40 simple and combined cycle power generation stations. All of the stations are equipped with 'Alert' monitoring, control and diagnostics systems that had significantly reduced operating and maintenance costs. Advanced online monitoring being used to diagnose and improve station performance on UK gas transmission pipeline is saving on maintenance costs while optimizing gas turbine and compressor output.
