A study is performed on computer aided design (CAD) interoperability, a real challenge for many designers and managers. CAD data translation becomes both a design and a business management issue as engineering development moves into the collaborative era. The financial benefits of CAD include users claim significant savings in effort, time and cost and generates high standard models.
