Give me a raise!

The efforts which should be taken by an employee to raise his/her salary are discussed. Working out whether the employee is underpaid is an objective measure which needs a bit of research. Find similar companies offering similar jobs and determine what the 'going rate' is. Many companies have formal review processes which record against targets. Pay increases are often linked to company performance and even if companies are doing well, the current low inflation increase will dictate low increase.
