摘要
Based on hydrological data of the lower Yellow River, the responses of flood volume, discharge, sediment concentration, runoff, etc. to the main-channel configuration of the lower Yellow River were investigated. By analyzing the main-channel configuration mechanism under various sediment loads, flood situations, sediment carrying capacities of floods in different magnitudes and durations after Xiaolangdi Reservoir put into operation, it has been shown that the sediment will be transported mainly during flood season, and the flood discharge keeping the main-channel from shrinkage will be around 40003m/s. The corresponding flood volume is 6 billion -7 billion m under the sediment load of 0.8 billion -0.9 billion ton per year.
