Value of ECT in the diagnosis of osseous metastases in prostate cancer

Purpose: To evaluate the value of ECT in the diagnosis of osseous metastases in prostate cancer. Methods: From July 1996 to January 2001, fifty-eight cases of prostate cancer with osseous metastases by ECT,CT,MRI, X-ray were reviewed. Imaging findings were measured and analyzed. Results: The accuracy of ECT, CT, MRI and X-ray was 100%, 35%, 42% and 29% respectively. Conclusions: ECT has important value in early diagnosis of osseous metastases in prostate cancer.
