摘要
Some of the significant factors that need to be considered to develop new business models for effective mobile-commerce (m-commerce) services, are discussed. Development of atomic transactions and mobile middleware has made a positive impact on the growth of m-commerce services. Location-based services, mobile financial services, and mobile interactive games are some significant applications of m-commerce. Location management, real-time delivery or service quality, transactions support, security, and wireless network reliability are some important requirements of m-commerce services. Industries are making efforts to make cellular networks, wireless LANs (WLANs), and satellite-based networks compatible for m-commerce services. A flexible revenue generation and revenue-sharing models need to be developed for the improvement of m-commerce business.
