Drift waves in general toroidal equilibria

摘要
The stability of drift waves in general toroidal equilibria was discussed. The resistive edge mode stability and the toroidal mode in a non-circular tokamak geometry were studied. In the core plasma a stabilization was found in the edge region whereas a destabilization of the toroidal mode with increasing elongation was found.
