摘要
The processable low temperature curing (PLTC) natural rubber (NR) compound for a high duty offshore oil-production engineering application is studied. At the initial stages of the curing process, flexelements are molded at 30 °C below their eventual curing temperature, which is in the normal range applying to NR. For the PLTC, the flow rate was carried out at the target molding temperature of 40 °C. Results showed an improved PLTC in terms of the combination of relatively-short cure time and adequate shelf life.
