Consolidation at the Ost colliery with a high-strength mineral binder

The Sonnenschein seam plane has been worked at the Ost colliery since 1993. In the S 708 panel such high convergences occurred about six months after the start of working that the rate of advance fell to 2.5 m/d. Consolidation measures were carried out ahead of the workings to reduce the convergences, to improve the situation in the area of the T-junction and to increase the rate of advance. The effective performance of the work led to convergence reduction and an increase in the rate of advance above 6 m/d.
