A new method of improving GPS positioning precision with altitude hold mode

摘要
The problems met in real circumstance during GPS position measurement are the positioning accuracy, which is about 100m, it can't satisfy the requirements of many objects. In this paper, we introduce a new method of improving GPS (Global Positioning System) positioning precision. Without using other equipment, the method is based on an altitude hold mode, under this constraint condition we use the TLS (Total Least Squares) algorithm to make the method effective. The results show that the algorithm can evidently improve the GPS positioning precision.
