Practical solutions for optimizing steel mill wastewater treatment plants

摘要：
General wastewater treatment problems related to steel mills are discussed. The operational deficiencies were identified to prevent the steel mill wastewater treatment plant from meeting existing or proposed effluent limitations. The application of sound engineering practices to common waste water treatment problems is supposed to break the cycle of myopic fixes that trouble many plants. Implementation of effective solutions are expected to be beneficial in meeting more compulsory effluent limits, while saving capital and operating dollars.
