The control rod driving apparatus used in 10MW high temperature gas-cooling reactor(HTR-10) is a type of chain and chain-wheel drive, through a reduction gears mechanism the step motor makes the chain-wheel rotation, whereby the control rod moves up and down through chain. The rod control system of HTR-10 is a full digital distributed control system, and carries out the entire requirements on control, interlock and monitoring. Through test and operation in field, it is shown that this control system has many advanced performances such as complete control functions, good interface, easy operation and maintenance and so on.
