Thermal conductivity of fused and crystalline alkaline earth chlorides near phase transition temperature

Thermal conductivity of the fused and crystalline CaCl2, SrCl2, BaCl2, and MgCl2 is measured by the method of coaxial cylinders adjacent to their melting temperatures. Linear and nonlinear temperature dependences are revealed for fused and crystalline salts respectively. The results of comparison of the obtained regularities with the data for alkali metal chlorides are discussed.
