摘要
Research and development (R & D) and design of products play an important role in development of enterprise. Advanced product design methods should be used in R & D and design of products, and the performances of the product will be improved. More than seventy theories and methods are proposed by domestic and overseas scholars in recent 100 years. In recent 10 years, based on the advantages of the products design theories and methods proposed by the scholars an advanced product design method - systematized design methodology which is led by the Scientific Development Outlook is set up. This design methods of products has 8 new opinions, that are: (1) Idea (I), Quality (Q), Cost (C), Time (T), Environment (E) and Serve (S) 6 elements of product design; (2) four stages of products design: investigation, planning, implement and inspection; (3) 3 performances of products: structural performance, operation performance and manufacturing performance; (4) harmonious design and deep-level design of products; (5) concept and contents of product top-layer design and systematized design; (6) discuss of integrity and non-integrity technological system; (7) the connection equation among design objective, design content and design method; (8) product design quality expression. We get good effects to apply above product design methodology on many product designs in recent 10 years. © 2013 Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
