摘要
The construction of large kiln units has also become a worldwide trend in the lime industry. At present there is no better kiln system on the market than the familiar twin shaft regenerative (TSR) kiln that offers the best options for producing a lime of medium to high reactivity with respect to high fuel flexibility and a low heat requirement coupled with favourable maintenance and repair costs. Cimprogetti S.p.A., the Italian lime kiln specialist that was founded in 1967 and has since then entered the front rank of manufacturers of twin shaft regenerative lime kilns, provides a report in this article on the latest design features of this kiln that is now offered mainly in the output range of 500 to 600 t/d. There is a detailed report of the RD kiln with cylindrical shafts. Unlike other makes of kiln this is now equipped with the new SRT (Short Reversal Time) charging and discharge systems as well as an improved refractory lining design. The new kiln design has not led to any increase in capital cost and has significantly reduced the operating and maintenance costs for burning lime.
