Simulation of cold isostatic pressing of part by selective laser sintering

Combined selective laser sintering with cold isostatic pressing to achieve complicated parts. Simulation of CIP of brick and gear after SLS achieved the relationship between relative densities with pressure and predicted the dimensions using modified Cam-Clay model and ABAQUS software. Comparing with experimental results, it was found that brick had greater error rate in Z direction (34.9%); gear in hole (-47.97%). Simulations provide the basis for the structure design and choose of pressure and effective guidance for SLS/CIP.
