Sappi weathers storm

Sappi's total sales in september 2001 reached $ 4184 million which is 11.3% lower compared to 2000. The operating profit of Stora Enso dropped by 34% to $ 446 million. The company is making its contribution in bringing the weak market back into balance as in July-September period alone Sappi took 250,000 tonnes of production curtailments.
