摘要
An increasing number of states are supporting regulations to limit industrial emissions of greenhouse gases, despite the Bush Administration's opposition to climate change mandates. The regulations include restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions from power plants in Massachusetts, and enacted emission limits from tailpipes in California. Texas and 15 other states have also set minimum requirements for the use of renewable energy sources since the late 1990s, which directly control greenhouse gas emissions. The state officials supported the climate change regulations, and argued that Congress and the administration must make effort to prevent global warming.
