摘要
Micro Sm alloying coupling with four-pass rotary rolling is conducted to synergize the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of Mg-Al-Sn-Ca-Mn alloys. Micro Sm alloying weakens the galvanic corrosion. Rolling process refines the grains, intensifies the basal texture and promotes dispersed second phase particles, thereby contributing to forming a uniform and protective corrosion product film, and enhancing the mechanical strength and ductility. As a result, rolled Mg-Al-Sn-Ca-Mn-Sm alloy exhibits a synergy of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, i.e., an UTS of 271 MPa, YS of 204 MPa, elongation to failure of 18 %, and a low corrosion rate of 0.85 mm(-1).
