MacGregor equips world's largest cruise ship

The MacGregor Group is currently busy supplying equipment for all nine of Royal Caribbean's current liner projects, each package estimated at approximately US$12.5 million/ship. The first of these orders was completed late 1999 on the first of three Eagle-class liners from Kvaerner Masa-Yards, Voyager of the Seas. During the project design stage, MacGregor completed a passenger flow analysis, with the location, size, speed and other technical details for all elevators studied to provide the highest level of service. The result is a trio of scenic/panoramic elevators, each with a capacity for 20 passengers fitted in each of the atriums located at either end of the main Royal Promenade.
