Going Green Saves Money and the Environment

This article discusses how, according to a recent survey by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, most of today's businesses are beginning to adopt green business practices that are more environmentally sensitive and use energy and natural resources more efficiently. Ideas for water utilities adopting energy-efficient measures are presented, along with tracking monthly energy use from utility bills to understand how their energy bills actually work, obtaining load profile information, understanding rate schedules, and meeting with utility representatives about programs and incentives. © 2008 American Water Works Association.
