Julius Schulte Sohne upgraded PM3 at its mill in Dusseldorf, Germany. The upgrade featured the installation of the first shoe press from Bellmer and Kusters. A couch press, a double-felted power press and a TwinningPress shoe press were installed on the machine. The renovation was done to increase the paper dryness before the drying section and to raise the paper production.
