Analysis of characteristics of land use in zhalong wetland

An analysis was conducted for the land use and land cover dynamic characteristics in all county regions of Zhalong Wetland in 1979-2006 using the remote sensing and GIS technologies based on the Landsat TM images data of four periods of 1979-2006, and the results showed that: with the continuous development of land, the land use degree in all county regions of Zhalong Wetland increased gradually in the late 1970s to the early period of this century, except Tailai County, all the highest land use degrees appeared in the early period of this century. Overall, the area of arable land in all counties of Zhalong Wetland increased while the area of bare land decreased, the two opposite variation trends showed that the occupation of bare land by arable land had become a fact to be reckoned with. © 2017, Taru Publications.
