Notes on spatial impression in concert halls

An overview is given on the few issues surrounding the concept of apparent source width (ASW). Firstly, the use pair of comparison rating techniques to better acknowledge the emotional aspects of ASW, and to facilitate the rating task is proposed. Secondly, the importance of including information on frequency components above 1 kHz and of reflection delay in objective parameters to predict ASW is emphasized.
