Exogenous miRNAs are cross-kingdom regulatory in bacteria and viruses, but whether exogenous plant miRNAs are stable in the human body and are involved in cross-kingdom regulation is still controversial. Only by cross-border modeling on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the human high-throughput miRNA data, and design of effective biological experiments, the human exogenous plant miRNA presence, access pathways and regulatory role can be revealed. In this paper, high-throughput sequencing data based on human serum were used as the study objective and were analyzed by bio-calculation method. The possible human exogenous plant miRNAs were screened by using the RNA data of human and plant as the reference group. Based on the principle of miRNA regulatory mechanism, the possible target genes of plant miRNAs interfering with human mRNA were obtained. A network model of plant miRNA-human mRNA was constructed to analyze possible cross-kingdom regulation. Nine core modules were excavated by constructing a plant-human cross-kingdom regulation model. The results show that exogenous plant miRNAs are involved in the regulation of biological process such as human amine metabolism, alcohol metabolism and fatty acid metabolism. © 2018, Editorial Board of Jilin University.
