摘要：
An overview is given on the evolution of HVAC controls. Focus is on the developments that occurred in the 1970s, 1980s and the 1990s. Such developments not only emphasize the education and training of maintenance and operating personnel, but also the education of designers, owners, builders, and occupants. Furthermore, the factors to consider in order to achieve a satisfactory HVAC system are highlighted.
