Inter-relation between coke reactivity and petrographic indices of coal charge and coking parameters

Influence of various factor on characteristics of coke has been considered. It has been shown that petrographic properties of coals play important role in production of high-quality coke. Relation between coke reactivity and strength of the coke has been shown. Mathematical models of CSR and CRI indices have been developed with the use of regression equations. Dependence of CRI on petrographic parameters of coal charge, coking time, share of dry quenching coke has been determined. This makes it possible to predict variation of coke reactivity indices in case of varying the petrographic coal charge parameters due to various coal deliveries.
