A recent review of U.K's science and engineering revealed that there is a shortage of young people entering the professions. The review urges the government to take immediate steps to arrest and reverse the decline. Recommendations to the government, employers and the education sector emphasize that only through coherent, concerted action throughout the supply chain, that development and innovation performance be raised to match the world's best.
