Modal adaptive liquid-crystal lens with optical control

摘要
The modification of modal adaptive liquid-crystal lens, in which the layer of light-sensitive semiconductor is used as a control electrode, is proposed and theoretically investigated. The lens with focal distance depending from incident radiation intensity is presented. Distributions of local voltage and phase delay produced by the lens in transmitted radiation with Gaussian intensity distribution under different parameters of control voltage are calculated. The possibility of the usage of presented lens for intraresonator correction of thermal lens of medium power lasers is considered.
