As the contradiction between economic development and environmental protection intensifies, the simple and extensive design method of the traditional building industry has been unable to meet the requirements for sustainable development, green building energy saving, and environmental protection, which will inevitably become the requirements of future construction. Thus, the development situation of the construction industry has become a research hotspot. A virtual building model was constructed using building information modeling (BIM), and an analytical simulation of the annual energy consumption was conducted using the model. The influencing factors on the building energy consumption were analyzed using the variance analysis method. Finally, the building simulation model was optimized, and important information that may be used in the study of green architectural design and BIM technology was provide.
