摘要
A new high-strength Cr-Si spring steel with better sag resistance and a good fatigue property was developed for engine valve springs through increased carbon content and the addition of alloying elements. The steels used in this study were vacuum-induction melted. The carbon content was increased and the amount of Cr and Mn was decreased to prevent the occurrence of a martensite or bainite microstructures.
