摘要
Jiyang depression is a typical continental rift basin in eastern China, and develops multiple stages of source rocks, various types of reservoirs, and diverse types of traps, which is rich in conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources. It has entered a high-level prospecting stage after 60 years of exploration; it is more and more difficult to discover conventional oil and gas reservoirs in the middle and shallow layers; there is an urgent need to find new fields and new types of oil and gas exploration for replacement. Through systematically analyzing the geological conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation, recent exploration situation, and areas for increasing reserves, it is believed that Jiyang depression can provide the resource basis for its sustainable development; it is clarified that the conventional oil and gas in the middle- shallow layer, conventional oil and gas in the deep layer, shale oil. tight oil. and coalbed methane will become the main fields and types for stably increasing reserves in Jiyang depression. About 10 × 108 t of conventional oil and gas resources in the middle shallow layers are yet to be discovered, demonstrating an important field for stably and continuously increasing reserves in the old well blocks. The resources in the deep conventional oil and gas field are predicted to be over 10 × 108 t, as being the key to expanding reserves. The in-place resources of shale oil exceed 1oo × 108t. and it is a practical field for achieving strategic replacement of resources; tight oil and coalbed methane are the fields supporting the strategic replacement of resources. This paper puts forward the next exploration direction of Jiyang depression by summarizing and analyzing the current exploration status and key issues, new understandings and progress in exploration, resource scale and exploration potential in various fields, providing reference for high-quality and sustainable exploration in continental rift basins of the eastern China. © 2023 Science Press.
