Influence of excitation and geometrical parameters on the VUV radiation of a pure xenon dielectric barrier discharge

摘要
The parameters which influence the output vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation were studied to optimize the water decontamination technique. For that, a good knowledge of the spatial and temporal kinetic schemes of the excimer formation and decay is required. A unique and stable filament discharge is obtained between two flat electrodes in pure xenon at about one atmosphere under a high voltage sinusoidal excitation around 20 kHz.
