Novel all-optical clock recovery experiment for extracting clock signal from OTDM signal

摘要
A novel all-optical scheme for clock recovery is demonstrated by non-uniform optical time division multiplexing (OTDM) optical signal injection into model-locked optical fiber laser. In experiment, 2.5 GHz subharmonic frequency clock signal is recovered from 4×2.5 GHz OTDM signal. The technique can be used in clock recovery in high speed OTDM communication.
