摘要
Stockhausen GmbH of Germany has worked with the Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastic Research to develop a superabsorbent fiber based on lyocell fiber technology. Although research is ongoing, it has been shown that if superabsorbers are correctly selected and prepared it is possible to manufacture a highly absorbent fiber on the basis of the lyocell process using existing plants. The fiber retains its structure after the absorption of liquids and does not release them even under pressure.
