摘要
The characteristic fuel properties of restaurant waste oil methyl esters and their blends with diesel in the proportions of 20:80, 40:60, 60:40 and 80:20 respectively were studied. The viscosity, density, heat of combustion, cloud and pour point, flash point, fire point, and carbon residue were compared with diesel to study their usefulness as compression ignition engine fuel. The characteristic fuel properties of restaurant waste oil methyl ester blends were found to be close to those of diesel. The fuel properties were found to deviate more from those of diesel when higher proportions of restaurant waste oil methyl esters were blended with diesel. © 2007 International Energy Initiative, Inc.
