摘要：
The use of infrared imaging in the analytical tools is discussed. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) imaging is used in many applications in the branches of bioscience, genetic and bacterial screening. The infrared technology helps identifying unknown substances and permits acquisition of spectra from very small samples. Spectrochemical imaging is a useful technique in applications where sample complexity and heterogeneity complicate analysis.
