摘要
The implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is a successful way of managing the process data in a chemical company. An integrated CMMS includes the preventive maintenance planning, corrective maintenance analysis, maintenance cost control, spare parts management, and condition monitoring. Manufacturer-recommended activities that directly contribute to prolonging the life of a machine such as lubrication and cleaning, are carried out under preventive maintenance. Any non-anticipated repair or correction undertaken will be accounted for and monitored in corrective maintenance. A good maintenance costs control is essential to meeting budgetary limits, and even to performing posterior analysis for cost optimization. Many CMMS vendors are enhancing and upgrading their product to be integrated into popular Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, which is a newer class of software designed for implementation on an organization-wide scale.
