Colorado Springs (Colo.) Utilities has begun transitioning from a traditional water model to a real-time water model. Near the finish of a major pipeline installation, the utility sought better understanding of the new water source's effect on the distribution system. Real-time modeling effectively depicts the pipeline in operation and provides additional benefits. © 2015 American Water Works Association.
