On reliable control of active magnetic bearing (AMB)

摘要
Despite the uncertainties in the process of machining and installation of AMB, usually the linear control theory is used in designing controller of AMB, built it lowers the reliability of AMB. We propose to use the nonlinear theory in designing robust controller of AMB to ensure its reliability. The relevant information concerning modeling of AMB is reviewed as a preparation for using the nonlinear theory in designing controller of AMB. Two topics are dealt with: (1) the state equation of AMB model; (2) the design of the controller by using Riccati equation and H∞ theory. The simulation results show preliminarily that the designed controller can control AMB reliably.
