摘要：
The main properties of the discrete polynomials of Kravchuk, Makesner and Sharlie are considered. Their practical application for approximation of discrete distribution laws by the orthogonal series is discussed. A technique is suggested for identification of discrete distribution laws with the help of the method of moments.
