Barium ferrite in concentration scale ranging from 0 to 200 phr was dosed to the rubber compounds based on SBR and two types of NBR. The aim was to investigate the influence of ferrite content on dynamic viscosity of rubber compounds. Subsequently, morphology, crosslink density, physical-mechanical and magnetic characteristics of the rubber magnetic composites were evaluated. The results show that the higher is the viscosity of the rubber matrix, the better is the dispersion of the filler. Higher homogeneity and compatibility between the filler and the rubber on the interphase was reflected in higher tensile strength of the composites. © 2018 Huthig GmbH. All rights reserved.
