摘要
The curing systems used to vulcanise speciality elastomers such as ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymer (EPDM), polychloraprene (CR), isobutylene-isoprene (butyl) elastomer (IIR) and nitrile rubber (NBR] are different than those used to cure natural rubber (NR), styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), and polybutadiene (BR) and its blends. The former elastomers are less unsaturated and therefore need a high ratio of accelerator to sulfur. This paper deals with selected cure systems for vulcanizing these four speciality elastomers.
