摘要
Sensor-based sorting machines have replaced the conventional high-cost methods of milling and expensive metallurgical processes in mining operations. Mining operations using such electronic sorters have been able to reduce mining costs and increase profits significantly. These sorters provide the advantages of eliminating waste and sub-economical ore from plant feed. Industry experts state that sensor-based sorting can separate material, which is unable to be treated through conventional methods. The new generation of sordting machines have enabled loss-making mining operations to maintain production by mining and sorting low grade ore bodies, extending the life of the mine and preventing closure. Commodas has introduced such machines that detect and separate the valuable ore from barren residue at high speed and low cost as compared with traditional methods.
