Acordis Specialty Fibres, based in Coventry (UK) is successfully serving one niche market sector - medical dressings - with product ranges based on gel-forming and highly-loaded polymers. Products include Alginate nonwovens. Micropake x-ray detectable yarns and Hydrocel fibre, a gel-forming polymer with similar wound-care properties to Alginate. ASF is working with new partners as well as developing innovative products.
