Heat transfer in a coupled-fluid flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid over a highly permeable layer with an impermeable bottom, is considered, in the presence of a magnetic field. A transverse sinusoidal suction velocity is introduced at the impermeable bottom which is kept at a constant temperature. Expressions for temperature fields in both, the free fluid and porous regions are obtained and the effects of various parameters such as permeability, magnetic field, Prandti number, suction and effective velocity parameter on them are examined and discussed.
