Numerical simulation of two phase flow within passive ejectors

The two-phase flow within a passive ejector was simulated by employing the method of implicit vector flux splitting scheme combined with the approximate factorization algorithm for 2-D Euler equations and the characteristic method of the particle phase. The minimum outlet pressure of the nozzle was found when the position of normal shock wave was preserved in down stream within the ejector, and the effects of different ejector structures on the position of shock wave were analyzed. From this, the optimum structure was obtained. The calculated results provide the basis for the design and use of passive ejectors.
