Numerical simulation of two phase flow in two dimensional plug nozzle

摘要
In order to understand the characteristics of two phase flow field and particle trajectory in the two dimensional plug nozzle, an Euler-Lagrangian approach was adopted to get the numerical simulation result. The gas flow field and two phase flow field in the plug nozzle were compared. It is shown that at low attitude the pressure peaks along the plug move backward. At high attitude the design pressure ratio of the plug nozzle shift to a smaller value. These differences above are caused by the decease of the specific heat capacity in the two phase flow comparing with the gas flow. The trajectories of the particles with big size vary little with the ambient pressure and gas flow on the plug surface while that of the particles with small size follow an inverse law. All of the particles with different sizes impact on the plug surface and make its ablation more severe.
