摘要
In 2001, UK's GDP rose by 2.2%, the best performance among the G7 industrial nations. Most of this growth came from the services sector and national manufacturing output actually declined. In the paper industry, investments, closures, and mergers and acquisitions were the trend. In a related development, the UK Woodland Assurance Scheme was given the approval of the Pan-European Forest Certification Scheme (PEFC).
